Calling Under 12s
Helsby FC has also announced that they will be starting an U12`s team (school year 7) next season, games taking place on Saturday mornings. Anyone interested in playing for this age group should contact Paul Nicholls on 01928 725077.
Helsby FC - Season Round Up
First Team will finish mid-table in West Cheshire Division Two, our best position for several years. Reserves finished fourth in Chester & District Div One. The U7`s and U9`s both had encouraging first seasons. U14`s had a disappointing campaign in what is a strong Eastham & District League.
Not so Sweet - Runcorn District Cup Final
Helsby FC’s First Team lost the Runcorn District Cup Final last Friday (18th April). It was a very good performance against winners Runcorn Town, who play a division higher and who are still in with a chance of being crowned West Cheshire champions. The 3-0 score line was a bit harsh as two of these goals were penalties conceded inside the last 7 minutes. Helsby had been the holders of the cup and this was their fourth consecutive appearance in the final.
New Teams for Next Season (2008/09)
Next season Helsby FC will be starting an U12`s team and also another U15`s team to play in the Halton District League. Both will play their home fixtures at Saltworks Farm, Frodsham. If you are interested please contact Paul Nicholls on 01928 725077.
In total this will then give us seven teams spread across four junior age groups plus the seniors.
Seniors
Our Senior teams play in the West Cheshire Calsberg Senior League Division 2 and Chester and District League Division 1.
Youth
Our under 14s play in the Eastham and District Junior Football League.
